Honda Malaysia Launches the 9th Generation Civic
Honda Malaysia today officially launched the much-awaited 9th Generation Civic to further strengthen its presence in the market. This after much delay forllowing last year’s spate of natural disasters that badly affected Honda’s model programme.
In Malaysia, since the launch of the 7th Generation in 2003, the Civic has sold over 58,000 units to date. The success of the model was amplified by the overwhelming reception of the 8th Generation launched in 2006 with close to 49,000 units sold.
Each generation of Civic improves with a specific development theme in mind. The 2012 Civic embraces the fundamental concept of a “futuristic and distinctive compact,” a direction that introduces new values that reach ahead of present-day needs.Built based on the popularity of the 8th Generation, the Civic has been remodeled with a higher level of refinements and style.

MegaLAP 2012 Round 2: My Westfield Experience
Once again HICOM POTENZA entered the Aerorace in MegaLAP, with me driving again. After the Aerorace clocked a best of 2 37s and finished 3rd on the podium for MegaLAP round 1, we were hoping to improve the time and position.
Prior to Round 2, the Aerorace had a full service. FA Racing’s Chassis Guru, Faidzil Alang also set the car up differently to improve handling, additionally different suspension geometry was utilised. On top of that, to improve my driving position a 30mm Steering spacer was machined and installed.
There was one downside; Tires. The softer SG compound in the correct size couldn’t be sourced in time so a harder compound and larger 205/50-15 in GG Compound were used . Due to the larger size tire, overall circumference has increased 1.7%. This has had an effect on accelleration.

F1: The 2012 Circus is here
F1’s back. Yeah some of us aren’t F1 fans, well boo-hoo to you. For me, ingrained in motorsports the way I am, I can’t not be interested in F1. It’s after all the biggest motorsports circus in the world, and when the circus starts I get all hyped up.
So what’s new for 2012?
Iceman is back. Kimi Raikkonen will be in the #9 Lotus-Renault, partnering another returnee Romain Grosjean. Their form in the Winter Championship has been impressive. Kimi being fastest on the first and last day of Testing. This despite missing the 2nd test. But winter testing can be misleading ( remember Williams in 2011 was impressive in testing, but a farce once season began). Kimi himself says he doesn’t know what to expect. But all I care is Mr Monosyllabus is back, and that means 6 World … Read More »
