V8 Supercars: 50th Bathurst 1000 serves up a thriller

Posted on 10th October, by faisal in Interests, Msports, News. No Comments

6 hours, and only 0.321 second separated the 1st and 2nd placed cars. That’s the kind of kick ass action Bathurst 1000 served up in 2012. To top it off 19 cars finished on the same lap. I’ve raced in MME 12 hours and Sepang 1000km and we never have this kind of close finish. V8 Supercars ROCK!!

Eventual winners Jamie Whincup and co driver Paul Dumbrell held of attacks from several challengers to hang on to the lead and take their first win as a pair. Indeed it was Dumbrell’s 1st and Whincup’s 4th Bathurst win.

The action on the 161 laps was on going throughout the great race. Watch the videos to see all the action.

Posted on 1st October, by faisal in Interests, Msports, News. No Comments

Jazeman celebrated two podium finishes at the final round of the 2012 Cooper Tires British F3 International Series to take the accolade of Vice-Champion in the overall British F3 Drivers’ Championship. A second place finish for Jazeman in the first race preceded a non-finish in the second race after being punted off track by Alex Lynn. Crossing the line in third place in the final race of the weekend sealed the runners-up place in the final standings of the championship for the young Malaysian driver.

The weekend began with a second place finish for the Malaysian driver in the first race, behind Carlin team mate Harvey, which kept him in the lead of the championship at the end of Saturday, although the results closed the gap between the two drivers to just one point, with the other title … Read More »

V8 Supercars : Enduro season begins with a Lowndes win

Posted on 17th September, by faisal in Interests, Msports, Other Videos. No Comments

Team Vodafone’s Craig Lowndes with co-driver Warren Luff started the enduro section of 2012 V8 Supercars with win in the Sandown 500. The pair started back but moved up the field to emerge 2nd with the last round of pitstops in the 161 laps race. Amazingly Lowndsey only lead the last 22 laps, and the most important lap, the final one.

Long time race leader, Team Vodafone teammate,  Whincup could only finish 3rd after a late lunge from championship rival Mark Winterbottom moved the Ford driver up to 2nd.

Next round will be the big one, Barthurst 1000

All the action on the videos below.

Speedworks Turbokit Innova

Posted on 14th August, by faisal in Interests, Videos & Reviews. No Comments

What ??? An Innova Turbo. Yes you read it right, an Innova. Speedworks latest turbo kit is for the workhorse Innova. Those who have driven a stock Innova would know how lethargic the 2 litre engine is trying to lug around a big lumbering beast that is the Innova. Well, the Speedworks turbo kit tranforms that beast into something else.

The complete kit includes turbo, intercooler, blow off valve, exhaust system with management system thrown in and additional injectors delivers a whopping 51% increase in power and 56% increase in torque. That’s 56bhp addded on and another 82NM of torque at a mild 0.5 boost. The turbo, being rather large, does take a while to spool up, but once past 3500 rpm it just surges the Innova forward like never before. The wastegate and blowoff valve sounds strange emitting from … Read More »

The upcoming track sesion ( track Night) will have a slight difference. We’ll be treating the children form the nearby Orphanage to buka puasa and donations. On top of that the kids will enjoy a lap of the Sepang Circuit.

The Baitus Sakinah Wal Mahabbah, Kota Warisan, Sepang are privately funded and run. There are about 40 children, ranging from 4 yrs old to 12 yrs old,  both boys and girls. As can be seen from the photos the place is sparse and the children are in dire need of clothes and educational books.  Any donations are very welcome.

We urge the participant to donate what they can to assist these orphans. Anything is a gift to these kids.

As mentioned in the previous post the Track fees of RM380 includes a buffet Buka Puasa. And those not entering the … Read More »

News: TC Euro Cars delivers 100th Megane RS250

Posted on 17th July, by faisal in Highlights, Interests, News. No Comments

TC Euro Cars this week delivered the 100th Megane RS250 to it’s proud owner , Mr Barani Shanmugam.

A father of 2, Mr Shanmugan  said this of the RS250 “I researched and test drove many performance cars in this segment and nothing came close to the balance of handling and performance of the Megane RS 250. On top of that, the car is great value for money given the high levels of equipment on the car – the RS Monitor, the Brembo Brakes, the Recaro Seats, the Mechanical LSD, Cup Chassis – no other competitor offers all of this in this price range. Also I read a lot of auto magazines and YouTube videos comparing the Megane RS with other performance cars in it’s segment and the Megane beat them all. There is nothing anyone can criticize about the car. … Read More »
