F1: Five with a shot, with 2 to go.

It began with Alonso leading the championship, then Mclaren’s 2 drivers leading the way. Lately Red Bull has come to the fore. Now with 2 races to go, Alonso returns to lead

We’re referring to the F1 Driver’s Championship lead of course. 5 drivers with a chance, albeit a narrow one for Jenson, with 2 races to go.

Early this year in Bahrain, Ferrari’s Alonso took the initiative. Though for the races after, Mclaren and Red Bull clearly had better cars. Vettel, Webber , Button, Hamilton all won races, pulling away from Ferrari.

Then mid summer, Fernando claimed he was going to win the title, despite being way off the points leader. Red Bull Racing lets their drivers race, and take each other out, and Mclaren doing what they always do, that is having 2 number 1 drivers. Alonso, however Massa disputes this, is clearly Ferrari’s favoured one.

An excellent 6 race run scoring big points, its 2007 all over again for Ferrari. In 2007 Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen stole the title under the noses of McLaren’s 2 drivers.

What chances of history repeating it self?
