Jarno Trulli took over the Lotus T127 for day 2 at Barcelona. Seat issues and steering rack issues curtailed some runs. Trulli managed 68 laps with a best time of 1 25, some 4 seconds of top driver of the day, Nico Hulkenberg.

Nico completed  race style runs doing long stints in the morning. In the afternoon whilst most drivers focused on long stints, Williams did the opposite. Nico was sent out doing short qualifyning runs, resulting in 1 20 lap time.
